Brian Skilton was born on March 9, 1982 in Trenton, NJ and moved to the Triangle in North Carolina on his 7th birthday. Growing up in Raleigh, Brian has used his life experiences to mold and define his music. After going off to college at UNC-Wilmington, Brian bought his first guitar at age 18 and starting teaching himself how to play and write music. Musically, he also has a history of singing and playing trumpet and piano. This is where some of his first performances took place, sharing his music at coffee shops and open mic nights. Finding influences in such artists and bands like Martin Sexton, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, John Mayer, Ray Charles and many more, his music tap dances over several styles and genres and brings an undertone of familiar sound that can resonate with anyone. All of Brian's music is soulful and tells a story we can all relate to. He combines the serene sounds of acoustic guitar with a tender melodic charm in his vocals and lyrics. His debut solo album Stages, which features tracks like "Let Me" and "Dreams," takes us on a musical journey through the different levels of emotion that come with falling in and out of love, and we look forward to the release of his second album. Performing all over North Carolina, and in various other states on the East Coast, Brian puts on a show to be desired and enjoyed by all ages. In November of 2012, Brian married his amazing wife, Brooke, and they still reside in the bustling metropolis of Raleigh with their daughter and soon to be accompanied by a 2nd child in 2018. Brian still performs and writes, regularly. After his emergence, music has never been the same, and all of his fans would agree, so pick up your bags and join the league of Brian Skilton fans everywhere today!
